christmas! yay!

i didn't get a lot of sleep this weekend but it was amazing. we went to see the light competition in reno but it was pretty lame this year. nonetheless we had tons of fun, especially with my little [giant] brother there. because i am a wonderful mentor and big sister i allowed three of my younger siblings to try to break into the old k-mart but we failed.

Christmas eve church was amazing of course, and atypical.

i helped sarah make flammable ornaments for this tiny tree, which we then put in the fireplace and after dessert last night we set fire to it. it burned surprisingly fast. it was amazing. as was dessert.

a.t. and i baked on friday night. we made: a happy face; an angry face; peanut butter balls; and kate cookies

i had Christmas morning "i just woke up" hair/face.

i wonder if it's okay that the main two gifts i received were a coffee pot and a starbucks gift card? I mean i was thrilled of course. but i hadn't realized my coffee addiction had come to define me in other peoples' minds as well as mine. fortunately, i also got several scarfs. the ones i'm wearing right now i really like. there was another one that was large enough to use as a blanket and the first one was covered with giant snowmen and penguins.

most importantly Jesus and I worked out a few things this weekend. He never stops doing stuff. which is amazing. it's weird that He would want anything to do with me. but He does. and i'm pretty okay with that.

A flammable Christmas tree in that it was intended to be burnt and actually was burnt on Christmas?

I do believe that is a tradition I could firmly get behind.

I know that what I'm saying has no connection to the article, but there is a seller on eBay that's selling unbelievable Christian items, from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the guy actually do it him self! ! ! Must check it out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160069028091&rd=1&rd=1
